It's 10:28 A.M. on July 13th...I started getting pictures and captions on this post weeks ago so I wouldn't get too far behind posting again. We will see how that goes ;-)...

Lilly woke up at 5:45 this morning...she's so funny when she wakes up because she doesn't cry...she just starts moving around. She used to lay in her crib and talk and that's how I knew she was awake, but now that she has figured out how to move around so she pulls herself up in the crib and usually she tries to get the monitor that's sitting on her crib rail...so the rustling of that is what I hear and lets me know that she's awake. We need to lower her crib mattress (hopefully that will get done today)...I'm terrified that she is going to fall/climb out of her crib these days so I RUN into her nursery to get her as fast as I can as soon as I hear her grabbing the monitor. As soon as I get to her I can breathe a sigh of relief but in that dash to her nursery my heart is just pounding and I can't get to her fast enough...ahh the joys of being a mommy! :) I've never seen Nick RUN to her nursery...sometimes I wonder if he even hears that she is awake like I do. Definitely a difference in being a daddy and being a mommy. ;-) I know he loves her just as much as I do though, but our instincts and reactions are just different. So after I "rescued" her this morning I changed her diaper, gave her paci to her (which is ONLY used for falling asleep), and cuddled her close to me in our bed...off to dreamland we went for 2 more hours.
When she woke up at 8:00 she had her bottle, watched cartoons, crawled around and played then around 9:30 I tried to feed her some oatmeal, but she really wasn't that interested in eating at all. She was fussy and kept reaching for me...I even tried feeding her some yogurt (she LOVES her yogurt) but she didn't want any of that either. I decided that maybe she was ready for nap time already so we climbed in the bed...watched Sesame Street for a few minutes and off to dreamland she went.
As I was laying there with her...feeling her little body next to mine tears began streaming down my cheeks. Sometimes my heart gets so overwhelmed with the love that I have for her. I whispered in her ear "I love you." It made me think that she will never know these moments that I am having with her right now. 5 or 10 years from now, she won't think about me laying in bed crying and whispering to her...but I will.
She won't know that one of the greatest feelings these days is when she touches my arm or my face with her little tiny fingers or when she reaches for my legs when she's crawling on the floor. Those moments...so tender...so sweet. I never want to forget them. I want to hold onto them so tight. My love for her is beyond comprehension. I just can't understand a love so deep. So magnificent. I am so thankful that God gives us the capacity to LOVE and to be LOVED so BIG. I love feeling the immense amount of love that I have for her. I love giving her my love. What an incredible feeling. How indebted I feel to God...to MY God...MY Savior..for allowing me this life and allowing me to experience the love of having my own child. I know she is a gift from Him...I try to allow Him to remind me of that daily because I never want to take her for granted.
It is so easy to get wrapped up in this life...the hustle and bustle...the constant going, going, going, doing, doing, doing. Do I get so caught up and consumed with this life and the everyday battles and struggles that I forget to pause and soak up these tiny (yet magnificent) moments, like laying in bed and holding my baby girl, my gift from Him? Yes I do. I feel so guilty sometimes because I wonder if I stay too focused on "things" to where I don't truly enjoy the moments that I am living. I want to do a better job of practicing living in the present.
There are times though when something just makes me stop and think...yesterday when I was cleaning I noticed Lilly's hand print on our dresser mirror...I took a picture of it with my camera. I didn't even clean it. I love seeing her little fingers on there. Thank you God for putting that in my path to make me pause and be reminded of her...of You...of life...my life. I will tell you too that I used to be crazy about cleaning and I couldn't stand clutter or a mess, but now I love looking around my house at all of the "messes". You can always tell which rooms we have been in..there are toys strewn around...drawers open...just a mess..but I love it! I love seeing the mess that she makes. Our house looks NOTHING like it did before she was born and I am absolutely in love with that! Just this morning I stumbled across one of her toys in the kitchen...it didn't feel too good, but I just grinned...and left it in the floor. I know she will be back in the kitchen later today and she will be playing with that toy once again.:) The sounds I love right now are when she babbles when she is playing with a toy...it is the SWEETEST sound ever!!! I love watching her and listening to her talk and "play pretend". It makes me excited about tea parties and baby dolls and fun play times that are ahead for us!! :)

I've experienced several things in the past few months that have made me stop and hold Lilly just a little tighter. I found out that three women that I know had a miscarriage. Hearing about those and seeing them walk down that road caused me to press "rewind" and relive that time in my life. I will never forget that time and I never want to. It was one of the hardest things I've ever gone through and it was truly one of the darkest times in my life, but how I saw the hand of God then and even since that time how many times I've seen His hand, His will. He has been able to use that dark time in my life to bring comfort to these women. I know their pain first hand. I know their struggles. I know their hurt. I know their emptiness. And I know where to tell them to turn. To My Redeemer. To My Healer. To My Stronghold. To My God. Comfort and peace and strength cannot come from anywhere else. I remember being so desperate for answers. So desperate for comfort. I turned to Him...to His promises, to His Truth like never before. I knew He promised to never leave me or forsake me. I knew He went before me and He was with me. I had to share that with those women. And through Lilly, those women were able to see redemption. He always redeems our pain. I know some women cannot conceive after miscarriages, but God still chooses to redeem their pain in other ways. You just have to keep your eyes on Him and fully trust in His plan. My prayer remains that she always knows how much she was prayed about. My most desperate pleas...my most tiresome tears came after experiencing losing a baby. I prayed and cried out to God like never before. It was a long road, but I remained faithful to Him and when doubt tried to creep in I just rebuked The Enemy and kept my trust, my faith, and my hope in Him. Through our trials, our pain, our suffering, He is molding us into who He needs us to be for Him.

Summer Break Day 11...Rise and Shine at 7:30...bottle and early morning walk {wearing new shades and sun bonnet}...came back for banana oatmeal breakfast then played until nap time {tried not to take a nap for an hour...climbing in her crib and laughing and hitting the side of her crib}...sleepy girl finally slept for 2 hours...lunch time {green bean and sweet potato combo again and fruit for dessert}...got ready and went to get some flowers for the yard {Frank's had the best flowers! She loved all of the attention she was getting with her Babiators on!}...watched Barney {she squeals and laughs at him!!☺️} and played until 2nd nap at 3:30{mommy and daddy napped too!}...went to do a little shopping for our beach trips {always a good excuse to do some shopping!}...met Aunt Kelly and Uncle Josh at Hobby Lobby for a play date!...home for dinner...played in her swing outside...played in the yard {she used to be content on a quilt but now she crawls to the grass and just rubs it and grabs it}...bath, bottle, book and bed for our princess

Summer Break...Day 12...4:30 AM Lilly was ready to get her day started! All smiles and wanting to play...some milk and cuddles with mommy got her back to sleepy town until 7:45 {that's more like it}...bottle...play time {watering flowers with daddy and talking to the neighbors } then time for breakfast and getting ready for church...9:30 service worked better for her nap schedule today...after church she fell right asleep...went to Costco for a few things {not to mention trying a few yummy samples}...Lilly woke up after an hour nap just as we were leaving...a quick trip to Babies R Us was on the list {she had fun playing with the toys with her daddy }...home for lunch and then got into her swimming pool for the first time {30 minutes to get her ready...bathing suit and sunscreen on and she was ready to get out of her pool after 5 minutes}...nap with daddy while mommy and Aunt KK hung out in the sun ...45 minute cat nap and Lilly and daddy came to hang out with us {a frozen banana was a cool treat to beat the heat}...snack time and play time with silly Aunt KK and a pedicure by her mommy for the first time {of course I painted her whole feet and the carpet!}...dinner was served at 6:30 for our princess then went to visit Aunt Kelly and Uncle Ja and to see Poppy and JoJo after their trip {souvenirs are the best!}...home for bath, bottle, book, and bed for our baby girl

June 15

Summer Break...Day 13...7:15 AM wake-up🌅...bottle and cartoons...breakfast {grits and eggs...not too sure about the grits!!}...got ready and went to spend some time with Aunt Kelly! {love knows no limits with these two!}...came back home for lunch and play time with Aunt KK {teaching Lilly how to be a Sun Goddess}...mommy and Lilly hung out in her fish 🐠pool!}...nap {rocked her to sleep and held her extra tight...my days of rocking her to sleep are few and far between so I'm cherishing every one!}...2 hour nap...ready to rock n roll after that!😎...Aunt Kelly came by to play {who is that sweet girl in the mirror??}...and so did Erica and Emersyn! {can I have your bow?}...Aunt Kelly fed her dinner {she may have left wearing some dinner too😜}...play time then bath, bottle, prayers, and bed for our sweet girl!💗

I turn my back for 2 seconds and she's gone!}...breakfast time...a little banana and oatmeal and some grits and eggs {not giving up on her liking them just yet }...nap at 9:45 {just a 45 minute quickie}...got dressed and ready {packed the car like we were going on a week long vacay!}...off to Wal-Mart {it's so peaceful that early!}...then over to JoJo's {shh...we are trying to get daddy's Father's Day presents finished }...Lilly had lunch and played for a bit {Chrissy is her guardian and Braxton is her miniature horse }...1 1/2 hour afternoon nap😴...fruit for a snack then story time and play time {do you like my pink shoes?🎀}...off to Aunt Kelly's at 5 {bible study for me👭 and play time for Lil}...dinner at Aunt Kelly's then daddy did bath, bottle and bed☺️💗👑

Wednesday, June 17

She loves to play with this stool and the letters on it:) She used to just sit at it and play, but now she likes to get on her knees and she even uses it to pull herself up to stand:)

We had to go really early to get the oil changed...she Lilly went in her jammies:)

Summer Break Day 15...6:15 wake-up time this morning!!🌅 Bottle...play time {crawling...crawling...and more crawling!!😃}...went to get the oil changed {lots of fun vacays ahead!🚙}...back home for breakfast😋...nap time 9:30-11:00 then over to Aunt Kelly and Uncle Ja's while mommy ran errands...{lots of fun playing and hanging out 😜}...back home {supposed to be nap time but it got interrupted by Grana and Aunt KK😉}...went to take big brother to the kennel 😢🐺 {she napped in the car😴}...then a trip to Marshall's 👛{Wal-Mart baby in her diaper😳}... a stop at Twisty's for a sweet treat with some sweeties!🍦💕...back home for play time {I ❤️ playing dress up with mommy's jewelry👑}...Poppy came by for a quick visit😎...dinner time {zooming through the sky with Aunt KK😂✈️}...swinging time with Grana then bath, bottle, and sleepy town...Good Night Princess👑

This baby woke up at The Isle of Palms on her first beach trip vacation:):)

Summer Break...Day 16...

Isle of Palms, SC🌴☀️...we drove Wednesday night after Lilly fell asleep so when she woke up we were in a new place {her face was priceless😏}...she was ready to start her day later than normal...she woke up around 8:30 {some beach...some where 💤🐠}...we went down for breakfast {yummy in my tummy!😋}...of course her sweet smile stole everyone's attention ☺️...after breakfast we put her in the wagon {thanks @haleyhall23 such a GREAT idea!!😉} and strolled to the grocery store {she loved her new ride!🚗}...time for a nap {I hoped for a quick one so we could head to the pool but she chose her max 2 hour nap😴}...time for lunch {wasn't feeling the veggies again today🌽🍠 but enjoyed her fruit 🍌🍓}...got dressed for some fun in the sun and headed to the pool!🏊...she loved floating around...kicking her legs and splashing in the water😎...time for a snack and then we got ready for dinner {time keeper🕔🔜}...we enjoyed a wonderful meal and gorgeous scenery at RB's {daddy's pick for his birthday 🎉}...We sang Happy Birthday and Lilly helped him blow out his candles 😮🎂 and then called it a day!! Sweet memories with our sweet girl today!!☺️

Nick and I went out to dinner one night while mom kept Lilly. I got Shrimp Triology and it was AWESOME!!! Absolutely the best shrimp dinner I've had!!

Summer Break...Day 17...6:30 AM I accidentally woke her up when I checked on her😁...bottle...play time and cuddles until back to sleep at 8:00😴...back up at 9:30 and ready for the day! We went down for breakfast {oatmeal and fruit!!😋...yummy pears from Grana🍐}...more play time {climbing the TV stand to watch her cartoons☺️}...later we got packed and ready {it took an army 👵👩👦👶} for her first trip to the beach😎🌴...she loved the beach!!...the water...playing in the sand...people watching...We took a stroll on the beach after lunch and she took a nap while we walked🌞💤...a little snack then back to play in the sand and the ocean before heading in {a wave crashed on her🏄 when I was holding her hands 😁 but she just smiled!😄}...bath {sand was everywhere!😳}...bottle...more play time then a nap with mommy {much needed for us both👍}...awake for play time with her toys and crawling to see herself in the mirror {she crawled up to me and Nick and grabbed our legs to pick her up for the first time...melted my heart...sooo sweet!!💕☺️👑}...Grana's friend Marsha came by to meet Lilly and play 😊...then bottle and night night time for a tired little girl

Splash!🏊}...2 sweet little girls wanted to play with Lilly in the pool and shared their Barbie dolls with her 🎀😊}...back home for bath, bottle, and bed for a sleepy girl 👑

Summer Break Day 22...3:00 AM...Lilly was woken up by us to get in the car and drive to Hilton Head for beach trip #2😎...she slept the whole car ride and woke up as soon as we got there at 7 AM👍...we spent time with her getting to visit her MiMi, Grandpa Marty and Aunt Kayleigh {she loved her new Minnie Mouse cup and chair from her MiMi☺️🎀}...breakfast around 8:00 and some cartoons and showing off her crawling skills {she's fast🚼}...we said hey and bye to Aunt Kim, Uncle Greg, Nanny, and Gandy before they headed home {she loved her elephant and book from them💗🐘}...10:00 it was time for bottle and nap {for us 3😴}...a 2 hour nap hit the spot👌...lunch time then ready for another beach day 🌊...she loved playing in the dry sand for the first time {she sat right down and starting picking it up in her little hands and squeezing it 😊}...we spent some time in the water and then rinsed off 🚿before a cool refreshing snack {YUM!🍉}...a walk on the beach was perfect for an afternoon nap in her stroller😴...Aunt Madi arrived for the vacay just in time to see Lilly when she woke up ☺️...we headed inside for a bottle and bath then play time while we got ready for dinner🍴...a delicious meal outside with family and friends with some wonderful entertainment 🎤...bottle and bed at 8:00 for our little beach bum😊🎀

Summer Break...Day 23...restless night with a little princess in the bed with us😉👑...she woke up at 7:30 AM {I was already planning on napping with her for nap #1 in 3 hours!😴}...She had her bottle then oatmeal and cartoons at 8:30...went down to play with MiMi and GPa Marty at 9:00...back for her bottle and nap around 10:30...2 hour POWER nap and then it was time for lunch...we got ready and headed to the beach around 1:30 {Did we get everything?!😁}...play time in the sand with MiMi and then a little fun in the water...a bottle and a stroll on the beach for a sleepy girl was just what she needed 👍😎...back to get ready for dinner...MiMi came to play while we got ready {kissy kissy😚} headed to Shelter Cove for some beautiful scenery ⛵️...some shopping {her daddy will buy her anything she "wants"💰🎀}...a first time meeting a clown🙊...a delicious dinner...some wonderful music🎶 {Jimmy Buffet anyone?!👏}...and a yummy treat🍦...bed time a little later than usual tonight for our precious girl☺️💗

Summer Break...Day 24...another restless night for a princess baby and her mommy👀...she went to sleep in her travel crib at 8:30 but woke up in the middle of the night crying so I put her in the bed with us😁 {tossed and turned all night😴}...7:00 time for a bottle but we needed more 💤 so back to sleep until 9:00...oatmeal and cartoons {play time with daddy the clown😜}...then we got ready for some fun in the sun at the pool!🌞 Splish Splash in the pool with Aunt Madi, Aunt Kayleigh, MiMi, and Gpa Marty🏊...time for a nap and then we got ready for some shopping and sightseeing {Salty Dog Cafe🐶}...then dinner time at The Crab Trap {hush puppies are yummy!😋}...some pictures by the lighthouse and enjoying the scenery at the harbor ⚓️⛵️...{playing dress up with MiMi's glasses🙊👓}...then it was time for jammies, bottle, and sleepy town☺️💕

Summer Break Day 25...1:00 AM we arrived back home 🏡...bottle and back to bed for our baby girl💕😴...7:30 AM time to rise and shine for the day 🌅...bottle and play time then oatmeal and swinging outside before a morning stroll with Grana and Jonah👩🐺...10:30 nap time with mommy {YAY😉}...2 hour nap and then a visit from Poppy...time for lunch and then more play time {no bow today please 🙈🎀}...outside play time in her Exersaucer with a frozen yogurt treat {YUM😋}...a thunderstorm arrived just in time for nap #2😴{with mommy☺️💗}...more play time in her nursery {I melt daddy's heart!💜}...then time for dinner...a visit from JoJo, Papa T, Mary Ann, and Mamie...then it was time for bath, bottle, story, and right to sleepy town for a very loved baby girl☺️👑💕

God ordained her life. That never gets old to me. Gives me chills every time I stop to remember. He knew all about her every time He heard me tearfully pray for us to have a baby and He kept whispering His sweet soothing words to my heart over and over... "not now". He kept building me up in my faith and my relationship with Him. His grace is so amazing.

Some days I hug her just a little tighter and just a little longer. I never want to take her for granted. I'm so thankful I was chosen to be her mommy. My heart constantly overflows with my love for her. My prayer remains that she will always know how much she was prayed for and how much she's loved.

Summer Break...Day 26...7:30 AM rise and shine 🌞...bottle and cartoons and then time for breakfast {apple and raisin oatmeal...YUM🍎😋...tried some grits again but she wasn't impressed 😛}...play time then we got dressed and ready before bottle and nap...shh it's a surprise!🎉...Lilly's Great Grandma's 80th Birthday Party at 11:00👏...we had fun at her party!!...playing peek-a-boo 👀and visiting with everybody☺️...she tried cream corn, green beans and mashed potatoes but made a yucky face with every bite😖...so she stuck with her Chicken, Leeks, and Quinoa and her Apple, Peach, and Quinoa combos😉...a tired baby fell asleep as soon as we got in the car at 2:00 {I wanted her to rest good bc she was soo tired so I put her in her crib when we got home {{big mistake}}...she would not go back to sleep and was ready to play!😜 Did I mention that we were so excited about a nap?!😴...finally almost 3 hours later we got an hour nap in 👏}...up and outside for some fresh air and then back in to play with some old friends from her toy box 🎀👑...bath, bottle, and bed for a sweet girl☺️{fell asleep with her musical light up seahorse for the first time tonight 🌟}
