On Thursday Nick and I went to my doctor's appointment after school at 3:00. I couldn't wait to hear her heartbeat again!! My check-up went great! 128 lbs still...no change since the last visit...(when I told Nick that he said "how is that possible?!" HAHA! Thanks hunny for making me feel good!!
;-))...blood pressure was 111/69 so that was good news, too! Next was getting to hear Lilly's heartbeat and it sounded so good and so sweet...152 BPM.:) I had a few questions for the doctor after everything checked out OK...Was it ok that I felt uncomfortable sometimes when I bend down to pick things up? He just laughed and said yes... "You are all baby in your belly." Then I asked him the dreaded question...the one that I had heard many responses from when I asked or didn't ask..."Can I go to the Georgia game on Saturday?" He again laughed and jokingly said "No, you have to leave your tickets here." Then, he said that it would be fine if I went as long as I stayed hydrated. (Mixed emotions with his answer...I had prepared myself for him to tell me that I couldn't go, so now I was going...ahhhh!!:):) Hormonal in 90 degree weather here I come!!)
Friday night Nick and I went out to the mall. I bought a dress for the GA game when mom and I were out shopping last weekend...I wore it to school on Friday to give it a 'trial run'...make sure it was comfortable for the game. I realized when I got home from school Friday that it had a rip on one of the seams at the bottom. I really don't think that I caused it to rip...it may have gotten hung on something?!? Anyway...off to Belk we went to hopefully exchange that dress for another one. Thankfully they had another one in my size. Our night of shopping continued as Nick got a pair of tennis shoes for game day and I got a dress to wear to my shower on Sunday.
Saturday morning...rise and shine at 6 A.M. Nick and I both got up and got going. His uncle Kenny came over and we left at 9:00. The game was a lot of fun. We tailgated with his mom and their friends and we walked over to Nick's friends tailgate to see him, too. The game was so much fun! You just can't describe the atmosphere! It's so energetic and intense!! Nothing beats a day in Athens and being in Sanford Stadium...especially when The Dawgs come out ON TOP!:) At halftime I did have to get some ice from The Red Cross station because my ankle was so swollen. It actually hurt for the first time so it made me a little nervous. A sweet woman sitting in the seats below us held the ice on my ankle during halftime! So sweet! We got home that night around 11:30. I slept in the back seat on the way home...this girl was tiiiired!!!
Sunday started around 8:00 for me. Nick and I didn't go to church, but instead went to have breakfast at Waffle House and then to Wal-Mart to get a few things. We came back and climbed into the bed and laid around until 12ish. Then, he got up and did some things around the house and I laid in bed for awhile. Mom, Kimberly, and Britt came over to get ready for the shower then we headed over to Joy's around 1:45. The shower was so much fun!!! Not only do I love seeing the sweet gifts that people bought for Lilly, but I love just spending time with the people that I love!! Here are some pictures from Lilly's special day..
Thank you to all of our family and friends of our family who came to the shower! We appreciate you thinking of us during this special time!!!:):)
After the shower we stayed at Nick's dad's house to celebrate his dad's birthday and his uncle Chuck's birthday. It was fun getting to hang out with everyone and not to mention an excuse to eat more cake. ;-) After they left we hung out downstairs and watched a football game on T.V. and headed home around 11.
It's Labor Day! I love how God gives us these days...a long weekend is just what I needed! Nick had said that he wanted to stay in bed all day on Monday so he worked hard getting things done on Sunday so we could be lazy together on Monday.:) We enjoyed our lazy Labor Day!! For supper we went to Nick's dad's to celebrate his dad's birthday again with Josh and Kelly since they weren't in town on Sunday. We had BBQ and then for dessert we had cake that was leftover from the shower! YUM!!:)
It's back to work tomorrow...but it was a great weekend!!
