Her first Christmas is quickly approaching! I don't think I've ever been more excited about Christmas in all of my life!! Nick LOVES, LOVES, LOVES this time of year...winter..Christmas..lights..trees...he absolutely loves it!! Now I have always enjoyed this time of year the most, but my LOVE for it has definitely grown since Nick and I met. It's like he has the "Christmas Bug" and it's contagious!! ;-) Of course I LOVE the MEANING of CHRISTmas...that has only grown over the years as well, but my excitement about Christmas as a holiday and all that entails has definitely grown to a whole new level over the past 6 years :)
This year...more than ever..I am SO excited!! We took her to get her Santa pictures made at our photographer's studio the first week in November. Since being there in the "Christmas Room" and seeing Lilly with Santa for the first time...we have been on a Christmas frenzy!! Our house has been decorated and then decorated some more!! It has been so much fun though! We keep talking about how excited we are for the years to come and how much fun it is going to be with her. For now she just loves looking at all of the lights! Our house is lit up like the Fourth of July! Haha!!:)
I know my daddy would be the most excited, too! He was like a big kid during any holiday, but especially during Christmas. He just loved everything about it! I know God is sending us lots of hugs from my daddy during this time of year and I am forever grateful to have a sweet baby girl to love on knowing that a part of my daddy lives through her and always will.
