This quote is so fitting for mine and Nick's love story because it was so 'out of nowhere'. Neither of us were looking for someone else. His life was career driven...he was ready to get started with Border Patrol in order to work his way up to eventually be at the federal level. He actually got an acceptance letter in the mail a few weeks after we met telling him where he would be stationed at...Arizona. However, he decided to forgo this opportunity because of how he felt about me. My life was beginning to be career driven since I had just graduated college and I was looking for a teaching job. Neither of us had any interest in being in a relationship at that time...but God had it in His plan despite where we thought our lives were headed. :)
Nick and I got married on a horse farm...this was a place that I could have only imagined in my dreams. Gorgeous! I have always loved horses..had a few when I was little...and for me to ride in on a big, beautiful white horse on my wedding day made me feel like a princess.:)
I booked a photographer for our maternity pictures and I contacted Maggie, who owns the horse farm that we got married at. I asked her if we could come have our photo shoot there and she said that would be fine with her. I was ecstatic! I couldn't wait to get back to the place where we said our vows and joined our lives together! It just seemed like the perfect place to have our pictures taken before our baby girl arrived. :) We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather either...especially in September...it was just warm enough but with a little breeze to keep us pretty cool.
I want to say THANK YOU to a few people...
*Nick...for being such a good 'sport' about going and spending an hour getting our pictures taken. I kind of think he started liking it after awhile...ok...maybe not...but anyway...it was fun...he even said so after it was all said and done...I think. ;-) I love you hunny and I couldn't be more thankful to spend my forever with you!
*Kimberly...hair and make-up done by the best and outfit ideas, too! What would I do without you? The pictures turned out FABULOUS all thanks to my FASHIONISTA SISTA!! Muchas gracias!! XoXo!! Plus you were there to give ideas on pictures and to make sure my hair looked PERFECT in every single photo! Blood, sweat, and tears...you are ALWAYS there for me and I couldn't thank you enough if I tried. Muuuaaah!!
*My Mom...for being there for the photo shoot...my best friend for always!! So supportive and the only person (other than Nick, now) who is so patient with me and my moody self! I love you mommy and I am forever thankful to be making so many wonderful memories that you are apart of! XoXo:)
*Aunt Jan...for writing on the chalkboards for us, making and or letting us use the props! You never cease to amaze me at your craftiness! I am so blessed have you in my life!! Thank you for always going above and beyond!! We love you very much!:)
*Maggie Ticktin...for letting us come back to Tyger Pines and take the pictures. It feels like home when I go there!! You feel like family!! Thank you Maggie for opening up the farm to us! We appreciate it more than you know and we are SO thankful to have made a lifelong friend!:)
